Oh my goodness. I LOVED mine! I can’t remember what his name was. Anyone remember?

Fisher-Price Western Town!
Oh man, my brother and I would go CRAZY with this little toy! It was a western style town that came with cowboys and outlaws and horses… The detail in this thing was incredible. There were apple cores and banana peels in the jail cell, little mice and ropes. I wish I could find a zoomed in version of the toy.
Here’s the back: (Both this picture and the above picture are missing the stickers it came with.)
And here are the characters it came with:
I can’t even tell you how awesome this toy was. We’d play cops and robbers, have adventures with them, …. man, those were some fun times.

Slip n’ Slide!
This one is much much fancier than the ones we had, but holy cow my summer memories are riddled with days and days of slipping and sliding on that yellow plastic sheet. My brother and I would spend weeks at a time with neighborhood kids getting chased by the dog and wasting tons of water… Boy, do I miss those days.

View-Master!(above photo credited to art junk girl.)
Oh man, I remember all of the Sesame Street, PeeWee Herman, and other TV-show related reels I’d put in there and stare at for hours. I’d try to flip the images fast enough to make up “movies” and stories to, but they never quite fit.
Basically, you’d put in one of the reels like this:
and look through the eye pieces. Clicking the lever down on the side rotated the reels so you could look at all kinds of pictures.
While doing research for this post, apparently there are thousands of different reels with different sorts of images - even scientific research-related ones.
So… is the View-Master really even a toy? ;)

I had this!

I loved all the foods you could put in the refrigerator.

And yes, the water in the sink actually did work.

Mom still has these somewhere in a plastic tub…

Did you play with Kitchen Littles?
